Leave the drive to us and relax in a luxury van or on a prestige SUV and enjoy the spectacular views on the highway. Photos stops and breakfast break will be scheduled on the way to Tahoe. The tour Guide may take you to south Lake Tahoe or North Lake Tahoe, depending on the roads and weather conditions .Once at the skiing resort, your tour guide-driver will help you with your equipment rental and getting you onto the slopes where you get your daily pass (lift ticket) that covers the whole resort. For additional assistance with equipment rental or private and public skiing lessons, please let us know a head of time so we help with your inquiry to make your day more enjoyable. You will be fully free to explore and enjoy the ski resort on your own. Please note that Lake Tahoe’s weather forecast is unpredictable during winter time. Geography and tourism of Lake Tahoe: Tahoe is located along the border between California and Nevada. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in the United States offering 300 days of warm sunshine and 396 inches of annual snowfall. Lake Tahoe’s depth is 514 m making it America's second-deepest lake. The lake is known for the clarity of its water and the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains . Lake Tahoe is home to the largest concentration of alpine skiing resorts in the USA. Lake Tahoe hosted the Olympic winter games back in 1960 at Squaw Valley nearby Alpine meadows north of Tahoe city. Lake Tahoe offers both wine skiing activities and summer outdoor recreation and tourist attractions. Hiking and mountain biking and Boating in the Lake is the primary activity in Tahoe in the summer. Gambling is legal on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe where casinos offer slot and video machines and table games.

Heavenly Mountain Resort: the largest ski area in California and Nevada, located near Stateline, Nevada .Squaw Valley: the second largest ski area, known for its hosting of the 1960 Winter Olympics, located near Tahoe City. Northstar at Tahoe: a popular north shore ski area offering great skiing slope and less crowded. Kirkwood Mountain Resort: a south shore ski area which gets more snow than any other ski area in Tahoe. Sierra-at-Tahoe: a small south shore ski area .Boreal Mountain Resort: a small ski area on Donner Pass recommended for beginners.Sugar Bowl Ski Resort: a medium sized ski area in Donner Pass. Homewood Ski Resort: a medium sized ski area on the west shore. Nearby Tahoe City, Mount Rose Ski Resort: a medium sized ski area north-east of the Lake, on Slide Mountain. The majority of the ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe region are on the northern end of the lake, near Truckee, California and Reno, Nevada. Kirkwood, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Heavenly are located on the southern side of the lake, approximately 75 miles from Reno.

7- 8 AMTravel east on interstate 80 to Sacramento

We will travel east on interstate 80 to Sacramento. Located along the Sacramento River ,the largest river in California, Sacramento is the California Sate Capitol. The Sacramento Metropolitan area lies in the heart of central valley and has population of two million people or more. Sacramento is the fourth-largest city in California, behind the Los Angeles Area, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the San Diego area. During the California Gold Rush, Sacramento was a major trading and distribution city for all commercial and agricultural material and a terminus for wagon trains, stagecoaches and riverboats.

 

8-9 AMTravel east on highway 50 to Lake Tahoe via Placerville

Placerville is located in El Dorado County eastern Sacramento. Thanks to its proximity to Coloma where Gold was discovered by James W. Marshall back in 1848, Placerville became the third largest town in California back during the Golden Rush. You tour guide –driver may take you down town for breakfast on the way to Lake Tahoe. The tour guide may also keep traveling east on interstate 80 via Auburn instead ,depending on traffic and weather conditions.

Auburn is geographically located 30 miles Northeast of Sacramento and Southwest of Lake Tahoe, on Interstate 80. The town is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain. Auburn is an authentic old city founded back in 1848.Auburn is filled with the historical landmarks witnessing the rich history of California's Gold Rush Legacy. Situated in the heart of the Gold Country, Auburn is one of California’s earliest gold mining towns .Auburn became an important trading center and supply depot for the mines after James Marshall discovered gold in the Auburn Ravine, in 1848. We will tour you through the historic Auburn after breakfast and then travel north to Lake Tahoe on Interstate 80. A wine tasting in an old cave may be available on the way back on our private SUV tours, depending on time.

 

10 AM 4 PMFull Day skiing and snowboarding

Enjoy a full day adventure skiing and snowboarding at one of Tahoe best skiing resorts .Your tour guide may drive you to South Lake Tahoe or to north Lake Tahoe depending on your taste and the traffic. Either way, you will enjoy a thrilling adventure to Tahoe and skiing above the clouds overlooking the picturesque Lake Tahoe.We highly recommend our brand new 4X4 SUV for small groups of 7 people or less. You can also charter the SUV for one day or more even for 2 people. The SUV saves time and provide comfort and fun .You can watch a DVD or enjoy the picturesque landscape and white mountains as we drive to the Sierra Nevada highlands.
