Tour Details

In Muir Woods National Park: Our tour guide will pick you up at 9 am and drive you to Muir Woods National Monument. You will travel via the iconic Golden Gate Bridge following our new itinerary that will take you through the small charming town of Mill Valley, characterized by its scenic views, marshlands and wooded canyons. Mill Valley is also known for being a village with a strong artistic heritage where many present and former musicians, authors and actors lived or stayed including John Lennon, Sammy Hagar, Janis Joplin, Jack London, Kathleen Quinlan, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Eve Arden and Mariel Hemingway. You will also drive by Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley where notable figures studied including Joe DeMaestri, Daniel Caldwell, Signy Coleman,  and Actress Kathleen Quinlan who also figures in the movie “American Graffiti”, partially filmed in this high school.  Capture the beautiful views over San Francisco Bay and Islands as we wind our road up on the spectacular and scenic back roads of Marin County.
This panoramic highway will take us to Muir Woods National Monument where you will enjoy more than one hour to marvel and roam through the giant redwoods, the tallest trees on the surface of the earth. You can walk along Kent Creek, to admire the serenity and beauty of these majestic redwood trees and native fauna and flora. Did you know that these redwoods are so tall that three of them would equal the Eiffel Tower in Paris! The park offers numerous smooth hiking trails along the creek, a gift-coffee shop and public restrooms.

Redwoods National Park

Your park entrance fees are included – your tickets will be provided by your tour guide to save you the long line of waiting in front of the cashier! No other tour operator offer customers with their entrance tickets to Muir Woods park!
After this guided tour to Muir Woods Park, you will sightsee at Muir Beach, a beautiful overlook located along the famous California scenic highway 1 offering breathtaking views over San Francisco beaches and the Marin County rugged coastline.
Afterwards, we will wind our road up on highway one heading towards the wine country. It’s on this section of California scenic highway one where Michael Douglas was chasing Sharon Stone in “Basic Instant”.
In the wine country: Round 11: 30 AM, we will get to California Wine Country to visit  famous and small charming wineries located off the beaten path to enjoy quality time and taste your favorites wines. The choice of wineries will depend on your taste, our tour guide will offer you a number of options regarding the kind of wines you like and explain the difference between Napa and Sonoma Valley. There over 1000 wineries in California wine country. Our job is to ensure that you will enjoy quality time in two or three wineries away from commercial and busy wineries. Our complimentary wine tasting experience consists of tasting 5 to 8 different wines in each winery offered by a wine expert or sommelier who will guide you through this relaxing wine tasting experience.  We will choose two or three wineries from the below vineyards located in the beautiful Sonoma Valley:

Redwoods National Park

We can also drive you to Napa Valley where wine tasting is not included. In Napa Valley, we recommend the champagne castle winery of Domaine Carneros, Artesa Vineyards & Winery, Bouchaine Vineyards & Winery, Acacia winery and Cuvaison Estate Winery. The average wine tasting in Napa Valley is about $ 35 each.
After the first or second wine tasting experience, we will escort you to the historic Sonoma town plaza, the birthplace of the statehood of California where you can choose your favorite restaurant. There are fine French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Mexican and Californian restaurants on the plaza. Other local, casual and affordable restaurants can be found on the plaza including the cheese factory that offers delicious BBQs including our regional tri tip BBQ specialty.

On this historic downtown plaza, there are a couple of local restaurants for vegetarians where customers can enjoy their lunch out in the gardens and backyards. For fine dining and gourmet cuisine lovers, our tour guides recommend the Italian restaurant called “del Santina’s”, the famous French restaurant “ the girl and the fig” where reservation is required and the El Dorado Kitchen, famous for its California fine cuisine. On opposite side of the Plaza, you can check out  “La Casa” home to typical Mexican Cuisine. Don’t miss the cheese factory where you can sample as many cheese as you want. We will also offer you a guided tour within picturesque vineyards where you may meet with wine growers. Unlike Napa, wine growers and wine makers in Sonoma are more accessible and friendly. They enjoy sharing their viticulture backgrounds and experience with our customers. An optional guided tour may also take you to visit one of the wine caves to learn more about wine aging. This may include a photo stop at one of the oldest wineries in California where you can picture the largest and biggest wine barrels in the world! Muir Beach Overlook is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. This breathtaking vista point overlooks a picturesque quiet cove; a hidden beach and beautiful lagoons. We will take a short hike through a Cliffside park to a rocky point on the Pacific Oceanside. This short but breathtaking overlook trail follows a narrow crest of a coastal promontory where the land sheers off dramatically on both sides down to the Ocean about hundreds of feet below. On clear days, you can see not only San Francisco but also as far as the Farallon Islands. That’s why Muir Beach Overlook is a meeting place for nature and whales lovers to watch these giant marine mammals swimming by during their winter migrations. It’s also a bird watching  point  including red-tailed hawks , osprey, ravines, turkey vultures, and  even seals often laying down on the rocks. Thousands of migratory monarch butterflies can also be seen here during autumn. Visitors may not know but this scenic overlook is located on the San Andreas Fault and furnished with bunkers! The clear views from this high coastal bluff led the US Army to build these bunkers during World War II immediately after the bombing of Pearl Harbor when many Californians in San Francisco and Los Angeles feared that they would be the next target. Few miles away on scenic highway 1, you can see the infamous Slide Ranch on the Oceanside.
