Duration : 2 day tour. approximately 8-9 hours a day
Pick up time: 8:30 AM from your Hotel in Downtown San Francisco or Fisherman's Wharf or Sausalito. Drive North on highway 101 .
10 AM – Coffee break or breakfast can be scheduled on the highway 101.
12 PM : Wine tasting visiting one or 2 wineries before lunch.
1:00 pm: Lunch break in Mendocino wine country. It’s often as a Gourmet Picnic Lunch that takes place within a winery or as a BBQ lunch in one of the local restaurants.
2 -4 PM more wine tasting and eventually visiting a wine cave after lunch for a relaxing afternoon, going on a tour within a vineyard or enjoying sightseeing the back roads of Mendocino’s wine country.

9:00 AM Driving to Mendocino

9 AM Our Mendocino wine tour starts by driving through Marina District, home to the Palace of Fine Arts dominated by the Presidio and the Pacific Heights where an optional side trip may be scheduled on the way back to your hotel .We keep driving north through the colorful and iconic Golden Gate Bridge heading north on highway 101.
As we drive through Marine Headlands by the Golden Gate Bridge, you will enjoy spectacular views over the city of Sausalito and the bay dominated by the imposing Mount Tamalpais, the highest elevation in Marin County. As we drive north on highway 101, you can see Richmond-San Rafael Bridge , a double-decker bridge built in 1956, the bridge measures 5.4 miles. You will also see California first prison known as San Quentin State Prison that profiles at the near end of the bridge. Few miles away you will be able to see Franck Lloyd’s architectural masterpiece and national monument known today as Marin County Civic Center. This eclectic landmark is crowned by circular domes symbolizing galaxies and infinity. It has been the perfect setting for a number of science fiction movies such; Star War, Gattaca and THX 1138.

 

10:00 AM - 12:00 PMHeading to Anderson Valley

10 AM-12 PM We keep heading north on highway 101 towards Mendocino via Sonoma County. We will pass Santa Rosa,Windsor, Healdsburg, and Geyserville. We will take exit 128 off 101 just before Cloverdale where Sonoma Country and Mendocino County meet. We will drive on highway 128 towards Anderson Valley Via Yorkville and Boonville to visit some wineries and drive through some spectacular vanguards.

 

12:00 -1:30 PMLunch Break

12 PM-1:30 PM: Lunch Break may take place anywhere on the Highway or in Anderson Valley Wine Country.

Full Morning wine tasting tour in Mendocino Wine Country, in Anderson Valley wineries and or in any other wine growing regions you want to visit including Healdsburg and Russian River Valley Wine Country. On our second day private wine tour to Mendocino, you may choose to tour the Russian River Valley wine trail. This Russian River Valley wine trail wine tour will take you through splendid vineyards driving through the Russian River Valley beautiful rolling hills of vineyards along both banks of the Russian River. Russian River Valley wine trail will also offer you a sparkling wine tasting experience at the famous Korbel Champagne Cellars in Russian River Valley wine country. You may choose to tour Dry Creek Valley wineries located north of Healdsburg in Sonoma County wine country instead of Russian River Valley wine country.
