Cherry Blossom Festival  takes place in San Francisco every  year in April  .The Japanese community  in San Francisco  celebrates their   interesting  Cherry Blossom festival  exhibiting  their traditional and cultural heritage.  The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival   is one of the  most interesting  celebrations for  the  Asian Communities in California.  San Francisco’s Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually in Japan town since 1967.

San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival  events  feature  the Japanese Culinary  cuisine ,  the Japanese  traditions, some of most famous Japanese  traditional dance, folk and classic music,  arts and crafts, art marital demonstrations , Japanese business sponsors who   introduce their latest technology and business assets and much more.

The Cherry Blossom Parade may start at San Francisco City Hall-Civic Center  and  ends  up with    unique celebrations in Japan Town . Many groups representing the Bay Area  perform throughout the parade route  including a  myriad of floating butterflies .
San Francisco  Cherry Blossom Festival often begins with a gift of cherry trees from  the Japanese Community to  the US community as a  reaffirmation of friendship.
The Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco started as a reaction from the community   to  the redevelopment of Japan Town in the 1960s.   The festival  runs  every year in order to  maintain  the  Japanese community traditions in United States.

 San Francisco Japan Town  is known as  Nihonmachi or Little Osaka. Japait’s  home to a large number of Japanese people and some other Asian communities.    Osaka is San Francisco's oldest sister city.

The Japan Center open in 1968  is the focal point  of  Japantown where you can see the  The five-tiered Peace Pagoda made of concrete. The   main  street  is Post Street.
